With LeadLab, you can work with complete legal certainty.

Why LeadLab is data protection compliant

companies worldwide and store them in a whitelist. If a website is accessed with the LeadLab tracking code, we compare the IP address of the website visitor with this whitelist. IP addresses that cannot be found in the WiredMinds whitelist are immediately deleted by the system and the visit is anonymized. This process is automated and the associated data cannot be related to an identified or identifiable natural person. LeadLab does not carry out so-called“profiling “.

LeadLab generally does not store IP addresses, which is why only company names can be viewed within a LeadLab customer account, not IP addresses.

How LeadLab assigns data to a company

LeadLab identifies companies in two steps:

In the first step, IP-based data is used to enable geolocalization. You get the geographical location of a company with the company name, including zip code, city and country.

In the second step and in cooperation with our partner bedirect , we enrich the IP-based data records with relevant master data such as company size or industry affiliation.

At no time do we read data from the end user’s device or set cookies there. Art. 25 of the TTDSG is therefore not relevant for data collection by LeadLab.

Which data LeadLab does not output

Companies with fewer than 5 employees are not displayed in LeadLab, as in these cases it would be possible to draw conclusions about one person. Typical company forms for this would be, for example (e.g. limited partnership (KG), general partnership (OHG), civil law partnership (GbR))

Providers or companies identified by WiredMinds with incomplete geolocation data are also sorted out. WiredMinds customers also have the option of blacklisting any IP ranges in LeadLab in order to generally hide visits from these IP addresses. Furthermore, a company is not recorded and not displayed in LeadLab if the website visitor has activated the do-not-track function of their browser and the function has been activated in the tracking account of the LeadLab customer (website driver).

In addition, the website visitor can prevent data collection in the data protection area by using the opt-out link. Our strict criteria pay off in terms of data quality and data protection, but can have a negative impact on the quantity of companies issued. To summarize, we can say that

– LeadLab does not store any IP addresses
– No cookies are used for tracking
– LeadLab does not process any personal data
